Numero Primo is Tenute Rubino’s wine bar on the magnificent Brindisi waterfront, recently renovated. We are located in one of the most beautiful sea views in Italy, the perfect place to sample the whole range of Tenute Rubino wines and enjoy gourmet dishes using local products carefully selected amongst the best that Puglia offers. Our friendly, discreet staff have the skills and passion to guide you through the dishes on the seasonal menu and help you select the right combination of food and wine. Numero Primo is a fusion of various art forms. Over the course of the year, the artistic direction offers a schedule of live performances by local and national talents.

Numero Primo is the result of a shared ambition; the need to create a place where wines can be tasted in a more appropriate and intimate dimension that's all about harmony and the search for the essential nature of taste, without any frills. Luigi Rubino and Romina Leopardi wanted something authentic for their wine bar, something instinctive and distinctive, something more than the usual trendy bar where you meet for a drink. They wanted to create a tasteful atmosphere where people could feel at home and enjoy the culinary delicacies of Salento accompanied by Tenute Rubino wines. Romina has used her instinct to select the best staff for Numero Primo. Proficiency, communication skills and excellence of service are the qualities that Romina demands to the people who collaborate with her, and which she nurtures with ongoing training.
A real Brindisi native who loves her town, a university student of literature and philosophy, the mother of a beautiful baby, and an inexhaustible sports enthusiast. There's no one definition to adequately describe Francesca. She comes to Numero Primo following a long career in the restaurant and wine bar business; the start of a new adventure for her.
Giacomo is native from Brindisi and the oldest member of the team, a reference point for the rest of the group. Headhunted by Luigi and Romina for his worthy experience in the sector, Giacomo can handle any situation with complete professionalism. His passion for music, a legacy from former times when he was a member of a band, is revived every night with the variety of musical events at Numero Primo.
A free spirit and a natural creative talent are the characteristics of this girl from South America who adores Italy. She fell in love with Salento at first sight, an encounter that changed her life forever. She loves painting, and transfers all the love she feels for the beauty of the land she now calls "home" into her works. An expressive force that has won Luigi and Romina over, so much so that they have hung one of her most beautiful creations on the wall at Numero Primo.
An initial decision to go to Turin to study, followed by the strong call of home. For Marcello, who has a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, the chance to be part of the Numero Primo team was the opportunity he needed to finally return to his homeland, and join his colleagues in becoming an ambassador of this land.
Gianluca is the young face of Numero Primo. He joined the team on tiptoe, then he quickly won the sympathies of clients and colleagues through enthusiasm and humbleness. Passionate about travel, food and wine, but deeply attached to his homeland, he returned to Brindisi to build his own career in hospitality, decisively deepening his wine knowledge.
